FRED PERRY: A FUSION SUBCULTURE
2008
VARIES
Fred Perry redefined its retail identity in 2007 through the “Authentic” and “Laurel” store concepts, blending heritage and modernity while celebrating its deep ties to music and subculture. The Authentic format paid homage to British roots with classic materials, interactive layouts, and iconic branding, while the Laurel format offered a contemporary, sophisticated aesthetic with modern textures and strategic visual merchandising. Both concepts transformed stores into cultural hubs, featuring memorabilia, live performances, and collaborations with emerging artists. The redesign created immersive environments where customers could shop, connect with the brand’s music heritage, and engage in authentic cultural experiences.
